Responding to criminal activity

The Investor

“I want to respond to suspected criminal activity in a powerful but not public way”

Fraud, malfeasance and insider risk is a leading cause of corporate loss and reputational damage. What makes the syphoning-off from the corporate coffers most worrying is that more often than not the perpetrators of the fraud are on the inside of the company — possibly even working with organised crime who are repeatedly targeting your business.

Tackling fraud and criminal activity, particularly that perpetrated by your own staff, is hugely challenging. A staff investigation can create a feeling of distrust amongst the innocent and quickly develop into open war and damaging headlines.

That’s why we’ve invested significant effort in bringing our skills and resources together to approach the problem head-on. Led by talented and experienced former officers from British police and intelligence services, AnotherDay can work quickly and decisively to find the perpetrators while working covertly to keep the investigation unsuspected by the workforce and away from the watchful eyes of the press.

Criminality can happen in any company. We’d argue there’s only one company equipped to counter it covertly and comprehensively.

  • Our people have highly specialised skills which can be extremely effective in the midst of a crisis, and understand the rigours of decision making in the fast-paced, fluid environment which characterises a crisis.
Although the resources we bring to bear on client problems are critical, the data analysis skills to use these technologies effectively are the keystone of much of what we do and we invest heavily in keeping these skills current.
We hire specialist police skillsets from elite units to help our clients respond to confirmed or suspected criminality, particularly gathering evidence and conducting complex investigation operations to support local police.
‘Speaking the language of insurance’ can be critical in demonstrating the value of investing in security and resilience capacity, and this is something in which we have experience and do very well.
We place significant importance on project management as a skillset, which is why our people have gained specialist project management qualify cations such as PRINCE2 and APMP.
Our people have a solid understanding of international police and security services protocols, particularly when it comes to incident response, and can provide an immediate bridge between our commercial clients and government agencies.
We use suites of specialist, integrated software platforms to manage our responses to crises and to assist our clients in doing the same.
We have partners who specialise in finding documents internationally to assist in our intelligence gathering and incident response.
We provide all required training equipment for capacity building within national security forces, wherever this training is taking place. We can also provide training locations for these courses in Europe and the Middle East.
We continuously analyse huge amounts of social media output, up to 50 billion online conversations, with our technology partner to gain real-time and historical intelligence which can complement other types of analysis.
We can call upon specialist surveillance units to assist in evidence collection to support our clients in responding to crises or suspected criminality.
We can apply sophisticated software and algorithms to analyse technical evidence such as email and call metadata, device forensics and much more.
