Covert operation against an organised crime group
AnotherDay was asked to support a UK based tech and supply company, whose storage facilities were being targeted by an Organised Crime Group.
Extremely high value stock was secured within the site, however individuals were using current and former staff passes to access the site, and steal high value goods.
Over £400,000 of stock had been stolen over several weeks.
The process
Our team conducted a forensic review of each of the offences, and identified times, patterns, and vehicles used.
A review of the access controls gave an indication of potential inside agents within the company.
Once a potential individual was identified, covert surveillance identified key associates, and linked them with several vehicles.
We deployed at night when most of the offences took place, involving mobile surveillance on key individuals, and operatives within the storage facility.
Our team observed the subjects arrive in a vehicle previously identified, and watched two individuals enter and steal around £40,000 in stock. Our team captured overwhelming evidence, and linked in with security and the police to detain the suspects.
After a brief struggle, they were arrested, with the rest of the OCG being arrested and stock recovered.
Outcomes
- Two suspects arrested and £40,000 of stock recovered.
- Wider arrest of an OCG.
- No further offences were committed at the location.
- Deterrent factor within the facility and wider company.
