Training for a Gulf police force
Our teams delivered training to an Arabian Gulf police force, covering around 5,000 recruits, covering community policing, unarmed close combat, and other tactical skills to support the organisation’s modernisation programme and to help the state deal with a changing threat environment around crime, terrorism and trafficking.
The training was delivered by qualified instructors from the United States and United Kingdom and was aligned to international standards such as the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR).
Outcomes
- Training delivered to over 5,000 recruits across a number of locations
- Increased community support and confidence in policing
- Greater individual skillsets among police officers covering unarmed close combat and community policing
- Increased capability to deal with new and changing threats in the wider Gulf region
